Intro Paragraph
The Surface Creek Valley is situated at the base of Grand Mesa and runs south to the Gunnison River. It encompasses Austin, Cedaredge, Eckert, Cory and all of Orchard City. The valley gets it's name from the Surface Creek that runs through a major portion of the valley.
