Ok, I know it is a little off the subject of most of this site. To fill you in a little, a few years back I got so burned out on the whole working to the bone at the computer and running a business around the graphic arts that I threw my hands up. I then set out to find another career. I wanted to find something that didn't have anything to do with color matching, print proofs, customers saying they wanted teal and they were really thinking green, painting signs and most of all - computer issues!!
So, I turned to drywall. It was flat, white, didn't talk back to you and had nothing to do with electronics. I was truly enjoying it! Then one day as I was hand texturing a wall, I noticed that the drywall mud created a shape of something as I skipped the trowel across the wall. I had also been wanting to get back into sculpting. After we got done that day, I picked up a glob of quick setting mud that had set up to fast to use. With a knife in hand, I sat down to take a break and began to widdle at the glob. Looking back at the walls we had just textured, I began to wonder if I could carve a shape into the texture of the mud. One thing lead to another, and before I knew it, I was back into creating shapes, dealing with colors and designing layouts on the computer! Guess it's just in my blood!
